HCL are a full service Custom Home Builder dedicated to building and

improving residential Homes . We have a passion for building better homes for all New Zealanders.

Running the team with a combined background in the construction industry of 60+ years, Matt Hull and Mark Wilson are both qualified Licensed builders who have gained a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of construction and project management.

With experience working on a variety of projects over the years from high-end architectural, new builds, renovations, extensions, low-level apartment blocks and commercial construction.

Matthew Hull

Matt is a tradesman carpenter and licensed building practitioner with 25 years experience in residential housing including project management, architectural homes, renovations and villas.

When not building houses he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and camping with his family.

Mark Wilson

Mark is a tradesman carpenter and licensed building practitioner. He has 35 years experience in residential housing including project

management, architectural homes

and subdivisions.

When not building houses he enjoys watersports, snowboarding and spending time with his family.

How we work with You

Support

We pride ourselves on supporting our clients through the entire build

process;from conceptual designs through to completion. We will be with

you at every stage and decision-making process whether that be for support

and encouragement on tile selection or designing and selecting the interior

for you.

Customisation

Your individuality is important to us and we work with you to successfully

integrate this into each “dream build”.

Our group

We have personally sourced and refined a group of likeminded tradesmen

wetrust and have credible relationships with to ensure our work and your

dream build is a priority. This not only ensures quality but also means

construction will not be held up waiting around for sub trades.

Communication is a vital part of the building process, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager that will liaise with you throughout the build .

Commitment to budget

We are honest and stand by our estimates. We are firmly against loading our

estimates with pc sums only to sting you with actual costs once we have

secured the build. When we have been given the opportunity to sit down and

go through pricing HCL has always come out on top as the most honest

and fair choice.

Flexibility

We structure our builds so that you can be as involved or

uninvolvedas you like. We welcome you to view the onsite progress and get

to know the team . Alternatively take an overseas holiday and we will call

you when the keys are ready. Both options work and, importantly, both

deliver on the same dedication to quality.

Our vision

Lastly, we are passionate about what we do, we are forward thinking and we

are living a vision which is to offer something more substantial and

long-lasting to the building industry. This, however, does not equate to a more expensive building operation. We are competitive and this is important to us.

We believe good design does not have to correspond with excessive expense

just as excessive expense does not always correspond with good design.
